Between the Pico Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean in the Açores, the bees set out from their home among the basalt vineyards to make journeys of discovery and toil. We thank them for initiating us into the extraordinary sweetness of nature.

On our island Pico, grapes climb on black volcanic soil walled into squares of basalt rock. They are resilient and defiant. This is the sanctuary where our bees make their home.

They are strong Azorean bees, unafraid of the winds and rain.
In the depth of winter, Incenso trees bloom their brightest in bouquets of little white petals. This blesses us with our specialty - single origin honey, Mel de Incenso.
